The Department of Youth Development has been working relentlessly to increase the active participation in this major part of the committed, meritorious, brave and creative population, by making them productive and efficient. Youth Development Department has been implementing various real-time programs from the beginning to increase the active participation of the country's socio-social development activities, as the responsibility of young people in the formation of the country is to create awareness, constructive mentality, and disciplined forces. The Ministry of Youth Development was formed in 1978. Later, the Ministry of Youth and Sports was named. In 1981, youth development directorate was created to implement the activities of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the field level. In that continuation, the Deputy Director's Office of Youth Development Department was established in 1988 in Satkhira district. At present, the office is located at Taltala, Khulna-Satkhira road in Satkhira city.
